Project Overview

D-Nothi (Digital Nothi) is the Government of Bangladesh's official e-filing and office management platform, led by the a2i (Aspire to Innovate) program and the ICT Division. It is used across ministries, departments, directorates and field offices, and replaces paper with a fully digital, transparent and traceable secretariat workflow.

It manages the whole life of a public office's work: electronic note-sheets, approval chains, drafting official memos and digital signatures. Decisions that used to take weeks can now be made in minutes.

Technical Actions & Advisory

Mohammed Tajul Islam provided architectural guidance on distributed document repositories, high-concurrency database clusters, and digital signature verification:

  • Document Sharding & Storage: Advised on relational partitioning schemas, distributed object storage clusters, and indexing to handle tens of millions of official files without delays.
  • PKI & Digital Signature Verification: Guided the integration of the National Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic tokens, so every approved decision is tamper-proof, can't be denied later and is legally valid.
